  1. Introduction
The article refers to the present post-method situation of ELT and it is focused on the idea of a teaching methodology based on the issue of culture.
“Culture and the good teacher in the English language classroom”
It mentions that some readers agree with peter Grundy when he claims that after twenty years of teaching he still does know how to do his job. He thinks that research and experimentation hasn’t demonstrated that there is a best way of teaching a second language. He also said that communicative approach isn’t more successful than other methods in the past. These conclusions are also based in different articles.
Even when relationship between teacher and student seemed not so much a product of specific methodology the Confidence on motivation, aptitude, and family background has increased.
Teachers need to be aware of the cultures of their student’s culture and their environment because in the end they are dealing with culture in the more traditional sense.
The profile of a good teacher
Personal qualities are what count most in the development of good intercultural communicative competence. The ability to relate learners, the role of enthusiasm for the subject and the interaction of these with a sense of purpose and organization are very relevant in the two thousands and the teachers and the students as persons are coming to be recognized as a basic factor in the teaching and learning process.
    The teacher in charge
Authenticity is the key factor in the classroom and, we teach who we are .our teacher development depends on our self-development.
If we accept that our profession is an art rather than science, and if we recognize that our personal qualities, attitudes and experiences will define the kind of teacher we are we will be able to decide how to direct or professional development.
Analysis of the transcript and encountered language problems
The text´s transcription reflects a wide difference on grammar, phonology and lexical. It also reflects a remarkable decrease in its extension and structure because some of the main ideas are interpreted in my own words. The memorization of the author´s ideas and thoughts resulted very difficult for me so I decided to express the content by using my own understanding of the concepts involved.
Grammar is completely different from the original version of the article. Phonology reflects a notable difference on intonation, pronunciation and rhythm and hesitation is frequent. Lexical reflects the author´s formation and level of education.
The level of English of the writer is much better than mine due to its nature of native speaker of the English language.
In the end the most remarkable problem is the lack of content and retention of the whole content.
    Conclusion
My idea of this task is to identify our weaknesses as a speakers of a foreign language .the task is based on the four main skills of the English language which is the main point of this subject .the article is based on teaching skills but the task only based on language skills.

  2. THE SUMMARY-SCALE FOR ASSESSING THE SUMMARY

4 Excellent – The summary is well-organized and coherent; contains a range of grammatical structures with minor errors that do not impede comprehension; good punctuation and vocabulary range.

    3. Punctuation-GOOD
    4. Adequacy of syntax-GOOD

Over the years we can see how everything has been changing, it’s just enough to look back at the old days around 1950´s and 1960´s where people who were living at that time knew that everything had to change to improve themselves and their environments in a social, economic, spiritual and intellectual way. These all thank to technology and education which have been major factors in these changes.

Therefore, the necessity for changing leads us to look at our context today and make us aware of how social change forces us to reflect in our classroom practices, indeed education has been having a crucial social role in shaping the future as we would like it to be.

Hence, our future is a development of the factors that work now but need to be improved, there are some analyses of social areas such as: society which is divided into communities and across national borders, globalization as a dominant feature, technology that is causing the disappearance of many types of jobs, products which are available everywhere, electronic media influence and endlessly eclectic. All of these are tendencies which have forced our society to change and therefore to education.

On the other hand, as Ritzer says the McDonald’s is an industry where the products and service are fully-standardized but also involves a packaged experience with a lot of entertainment, so this is related to education which doesn’t have to be isolated courses just to pass a level or go towards a degree instead of this, learning has to be fun as well from this comes out the concept of “Edutainment” which is education with entertainment and tell us the teachers are under pressure to ensure students are having a good time in the classroom.

Nevertheless, we need to be concerned and ensured that what goes in our classroom is educationally nutritious and not isolated classes which are not coherent to the learning and teaching process that we want to achieve and have to help to shape the future as we would like it to be.

In addition to this, I would like to say that we as teachers need to have a positive attitude towards the changes that are coming up and make sure that our customers in this case our students are having such an amazing time while they are learning because if it is not in this way I believe that they won’t retain all the information given to them and our work is going to be meaningless.

  3. As we advance to the new millennium we have to think about the things we are doing and the things we have done during our days of school besides the implications that social and technological changes may have for the present and future practice of language teaching.
As educators we need to take into account that social and technological developments can offer numerous opportunities for everyone. A shift from syllabus towards methodology, ideas from critical pedagogy, the need to structure the development of student decision-making, the use of technology and preparation for changes are essential for nowadays students´ needs .on the other hand we have to mention that all these aspects are extremely linked to social and cultural contexts.
social change and language teaching practices such as fragmented societies , decline of national governments, rapid (dis)appearance of jobs , spread of ‘the market’ , influence of electronic media and ‘endlessly eclectic’ influence our language education in many ways .
some people would say that this is just the way things are going on and that I am exaggerating supposedly we only have to be focused on teaching language – we don’t need to bother about issues of content or the form of methodology as long as the foreign language is learned. In my opinion education is changing with our times and we cannot put aside all these aspects. As educators, especially in the teaching of young learners we have the responsibility of shaping the views that students have of their world. We could even change the perception they have about themselves as learners and contributors of their own knowledge.
A ‘futures curriculum’ in language teaching is summarized on the following characteristics: coherence, significant content, and decision-making in the classroom, use of students’ intelligence, cultural understanding, and critical language awareness.
All these aspects are the spine of a well structured and effective learning experience .in other words the combination of different disciplines with our own set of values and priorities could be the magic formula to shape students´ perception of them and the world that surrounds us.
Because of its direct implications in the teaching-learning process and our development as better teachers. I personally consider the ‘enabler’ to be the best kind, due to of her view of students as a human being, in other words, not a cold relationship teacher-student; she actually takes an interest in the student’s background, beliefs, view of thinking, feelings and emotions. In my opinion, that is an essential part of our role as educators.

This kind of teacher tries to encourage group cohesion and promotes a nice classroom environment. She doesn’t look like a strict person; on the contrary she is approachable and humane. Besides that, one of her strengths is that she goes beyond the traditional limited teacher’s role. She is a “guide” when needed but can perfectly become a “resource”, what does that mean? Well, “when we are acting as a resource we are helpful and available for the students but we don’t want them to become over-reliant on us” (Harmer, 2001: 61).

To summarize, knowing well the subject to be taught and “a little” of methodology is not enough to be an effective, successful teacher. Without a doubt, more than that is required , constant preparation and updating are demanded, which takes an investment of time, energy and other resources, but the rewards will be overwhelming . We have good reasons to be an “enabler” type teacher!

  5. The problem child
The purpose for this essay is to analyze different ways of looking at the issue of the problem child. The role of nowadays teachers, classroom management strategies, teacher´s responsibilities, the amount of problem child in each classroom, knowing the background of the child and the emotional aspect are some of the topics that I would like to share in my writing.
As I pointed, my objective is to share my opinion in order to have a better understanding of what dealing with problem child in our classrooms involves. Let’s suppose that you are trying to present a new topic or a new grammar structure and someone is constantly interrupting your presentation. What are some of the academic consequences of having two, three or even more disrupting children in your class? Would you have the same results if your class is disciplined? Can you keep the pace and the good atmosphere of your lessons or are you always dealing with constant interruptions and unexpected events? I don’t need to mention that having discipline and a good classroom environment during our days of school determine the quality and the effectiveness of our results. As I always say …you cannot teach a class if you don’t have good classroom management.

  7. Now, One of the teacher's main responsibilities is to make the kids safe comfortable in the classroom. How can kids be comfortable if there are some who keep of bothering them? In my experience the amount of problem child per classroom it’s been growing during the last decade so we cannot try to face this problem by using the same strategies and the same methodologies of our predecessors. Times are changing and generations too, so let’s start for the beginning and let’s understand that the problem is there and we are the ones who are going to assume the commitment of prepare ourselves for the challenge of the nowadays teachers. New generations require new schemes and we only can broad our possibilities if we assume this issue as something that comes with the profession and accept that is part of our job to be in constant preparation and training based on real problems, let’s be honest …how many teachers include the behavioral aspect of the class on their planners? How many teachers know, research and look for their children´s background? This is highly important. Knowing the background of the child is a must. Teacher's responsibility is not merely teaching how to read and write. She should also attain to the emotional and social need of the child much more in his spiritual aspect. The love and care that the teacher gives to the child will be a memory that would never be forgotten and this would help him develop into a better person (Lets, contribution network, 2008).

  8. It is not easy to deal with a problem child in the classroom specially if there are five or six of them in the class or maybe fifty percent or more of the class are problem kids of different sorts. Teachers must be prepared with a wide variety of strategies in order to keep a good classroom atmosphere which is directed to learning in a safe environment. A child with behavior problem is always a challenge to the teacher, so the first days of school are the orientation days .This is the time where we must do a diagnostic and set ourselves as leaders of the group. The first impression means much to the child. If the teacher is friendly, has a good command, firm but kind, treat everyone the same, quick to act in a positive way when there is behavior problem, understands every situation, then she will earn the respect even to the most problem kid in the class.

  9. If the teacher is not well prepared misbehaver children can take control of the class since the beginning of the year. It can affect their performance during the whole term and in case this happen it could be more difficult to re-encourage the direction of your group. On the other hand avoid scolding them in public when they made mistakes this would make them stubborn and resentful because they will feel humiliated. Take time to have a private talk with them when they made mistakes in other words ….try to be strict but flexible. The problem child is sometimes associated to a dysfunctional family. Most of the times their necessity of being accepted is the reason why they are always into trouble. They are often outcast in every group activities done in class. Nobody wants him to join in the group and bulling is constant.

  10. Conclusion
In my experience the physical contact, the emotional aspect, teachers´ attitude toward students, being in touch with parents, knowing the children´s background and using correct teaching strategies are just some things that could help us to deal with this everyday issue. Sometimes even parents don’t know how to treat them in the right way and let the whole responsibility to school teachers.
Good teachers are always equipped with strategies on how to handle problem children in class with care. They are recognized in the precise moment you talk to them and they are what principals, parents, institutions, children and our modern society are looking for.
Finally there is no magic formula for dealing with problem children because as I mentioned generations are changing and we cannot use the same strategies each year. In the end the kind of teacher you are will be defined for the kind of adults your students will be, I know that is not easy and that being a good teacher involves more than what we can see .it takes a lot of time, energy and preparation and even with all of it the results could be unexpected.
I truly believe that being a real teacher is as complex as being a surgeon or an astronaut and there must be a very important reason why we are doing this …..Finally you are the only one who knows what motivates you.

I have found some difficulties related to my speech pace in some of the sentences and the pronunciation of the words ending with “ough” caused hesitation several times. On the other hand I have found that once I assimilated the rhythm, rime and intonation of the extract the lecture became easier.
